Help for Families
Overview
Navigating Neurodiversity
Empowering Families of Neurodivergent Children
At Navigating Neurodiversity, we specialize in guiding parents through the often-complex process of securing the right educational support for their neurodivergent children. Our mission is to ensure your voice is heard, your child’s needs are properly identified, and that you feel confident advocating for their best interests every step of the way.
How We Support You
-
Attend Meetings in Support of Parents
We’ll accompany you to school or local authority meetings to help articulate your concerns and goals. Our presence ensures you have an ally who understands both the legal framework and your child’s unique needs. -
Assist in Providing Written Views
Crafting effective, concise written statements is crucial when communicating with schools, local authorities (LAs), or tribunals. We help organize your child’s information so it accurately reflects their strengths, challenges, and required support. -
Ensure Your Views Are Heard
We act as your advocate, clarifying key points that might otherwise get overlooked. Our priority is ensuring that you—and your child—are central to every decision. -
Support with Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) Appeals
From paperwork to representation, we guide you through the appeals process when local authorities refuse assessments, plans, or adequate support. Our goal is to minimize stress and maximize outcomes.
Free 30-Minute Consultation
We offer a free 30-minute consultation by telephone, text, email, or social media to discuss your child’s situation, explore possible next steps, and provide an initial sense of how we can help. After this session, we’ll outline potential fees for future work based on your unique circumstances.
Flexible Fee Structure
-
Hourly Rate: After the initial consultation, our services are charged at £30.00 per hour.
-
Payment Plans: Parents can choose to pay by installments for hourly work.
-
Fixed Prices for Appeals: We offer clear, fixed fees for each type of appeal, divided into manageable parts so you stay in control of your budget.
Note: Our tribunal fees do not include costs for independent professionals (e.g., psychologists, therapists). While we can help locate suitable experts, arranging and funding these services is separate from our fees.
